Why have therapy?

Most of us struggle at some point in our lives. It may be as a result of a significant event such as a loss, divorce, break-up, or losing your job. Or you may have realised that you’ve been feeling worried and anxious recently and it's impacting your daily life. You may just feel stuck and lost for direction.

Each person’s motivation for seeking therapy is different and sometimes the reasons are not clearly defined. For instance, you may have a sense of dissatisfaction or unease, of not being where you thought you'd be at this point in your life. Whatever your reason you are certainly not alone, and seeking support is a positive first step

Mental Health is defined as a state of wellbeing in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is able to make a contribution to her or his community
